LIECHTENSTEIN

Liechtenstein is a small Principality on the east bank of the Upper Rhine, doubly landlocked between Austria and Switzerland. It occupies a mere 160 square kilometres, making it the world's fifth-smallest sovereign state: only Vatican City, Monaco, San Marino and Nauru are smaller in area than Liechtenstein. Of the 34,000 people living in Liechtenstein, 80 per cent are Roman Catholic and 34 per cent are foreigners (mainly from Switzerland) with permanent residency status.

Central Europe. Lichtenstein is landlocked country and is located on the upper Rhine between Austria (Borarlberge Province) to the east and Switzerland to the west and south.
